Leo Dark & New Moon Musings

We are in Leo Season as of this moon, and as of this moon I am feeling more into the lounging lioness energies than the exuberant roar of the lion. A very feminine energy is flowing with this moon, and I feel the medicine of the Lioness is so needed, coming through as a gentle nuzzle to usher us into gently stoking the inner fires. This feeling of warmth will be welcome to many after swimming through the cool waters of Cancer season.

For me personally I have been feeling the creative energies begin to swirl again within me after a long period of not wanting to create. My inner musings and ideas are starting to take etheric and physical form within me, but with at being said, I don't necessarily feel the outward pull to express these ideas or to share. I feel called to enter the cauldron of creation and emerge when the birthing is complete. Much like a Mumma lion does when she is ready to have her cubs. The lioness separates herself from the pride when she is about to give birth, she finds a den and beds down. After bringing her young into the world she then spends months nurturing them on her own, and in this time, she is hunting for herself. However, there comes a time where she must return to her sisters and introduce her newest creations, her beloved cubs to her own mother, aunties, sisters as well as the Pride Lion himself.

This analogy feels so apt for me, as I am energetically feeling called to retreat to the birthing den where I can begin to bring about the dreaming, I have been weaving for so long, where the timing of this call coincides with a period of solo parenting as my partner embarks on a 2-week trip within the month of August. It will just be me and my cubs, however unlike the Lioness I know I can return to the Pride when the need arises, as I'm sure it will.

With this lunar energy I don't feel the need to shake my mane and roar loudly, there is a quiet sovereignty brewing within me, with an intuitive knowing to withhold my roar and conserve my energy for when it is needed the most. I am a huntress in the tall grass, watching, waiting for instinct to signal the attack and even when I am not in hunting mode, I am perched up on a tall rock surveying the savannah of my life.

I feel there is a destruction taking place internally which also need to be acknowledged as it is clearing the way for creation to occur, for a new life path to unfold. Sure, this may be beliefs and patterns, but it feels more physical and radical, like a great grass fire. With the right conditions, a rolling thunder, turned into lightning strike onto dry grass & tinder, becomes the ember which can ignite the plains of your life, forcing you into action whether we like it or not.

So, something to consider, if you have been pining for change, inspiration, ignition of your desires, then you might just be about to get what you wished for...

Although this insights of Birthing Den to Destructive Grass Fire may feel in stark contrast to one another, to me they also feel like a natural progression, a continuation of the seasonal and life cycles, we cannot have one without the other, and so we must flow and trust that it will all unfold as it must. But also trust that we have the ability to adapt and that we are resourced enough to do what needs to be done in order to thrive.

And so, this is where my musing ends, but I would love to hear about how you feel surrounding these messages. Is there some resonance in their meaning for you? or have they sparked thoughts and realisations which you may not have been aware of? Maybe you feel they don't apply at all and that too is completely okay. We all have our own insights from spirit, our own rocks to sit upon, only your truly know what is happening in your savannah.

May the Lioness bless you as you journey through Leo season with strength, love, healing, inspiration, sovereignty & community.

Love Tay xx
