Welcome to 2026~Cancer Full Moon Musings

Hello, My Loves, and Welcome to 2026! 

I could start this Newsletter with a really cheesy pun about how we haven't spoken since last year... but I won't ha-ha! Because the truth is that New year's is only one loop in the Spiral of life, and a man made one at that. Many mystics and earth-based spiritualists have taken to social media educating where they can on the origins of our calendar New year and how its creation in fact serves as a way to disconnect it from the natural rhythms of life in favour of a more consumerist culture, this is true. When I feel into this however, I keep returning to the frame of mind that as modern-day hominids we are indeed governed by systems which are far removed from our Great Mother and her cycles, and we could combat this as much as we like, but alas until the world return to a state of Gylany (A Term I recently discovered in the book Chalice & Blade by Riane Eisler which describes a society founded on balanced masculine and feminine aspects) we will have to continue to endure the modern New Years Tradition, or as I like to call it 'Gregs year'. This does not mean I don't agree with this information being shared nor do I conceit defeat on restoring homeostasis within us through reconnecting with our natural biorhythms, far from it. I seek to take advantage, utilising the collective energy that is built up this time of year, with the peak of Summer in the South and the Depth of Winter in the North, to seed and birth new visions of a society and culture which honours the rich lineage of the Earth and collective Ancestry and brings those visions into the modern era, creating a sustainable, eco centered, connected way of life for ourselves and spaces which support this philosophy, leaving the 'Gregs' as a blip in history, serving as cautionary tale around the camp fire of how the world can be led astray. 

So, Tay, how is this relevant to the journey of 2025? and what does this mean for 2026? 

Well, I'm not sure about you my love but the concept of being led astray really describes a lot of what happened for me in 2025. For me it was a year of internal trials and shedding, I leaned heavily into the medicine of Serpent working intimately with Medousa through my beautiful friend and sister-priestess Jenni-Rose at Sanctum of the Rose, who by the way I highly recommend when it comes to exploring anything Deity, Journeys, Serpent & Rose. Medousa showed me where I was being led astray in life, what my true desires and values were and awakened oracular gifts and visions within me that had lain dormant for quite some time, there was a coming home to oneself that happened within this cycle, a remembrance and reverence. Whilst all of this was being alchemised within me, I felt called to retreat inward, I silently slinked away to tend to my shedding, to journal, to dream and divine. This led to me taking a break from my market presence, social media and business in general, only offering creations and services when called. I also was called to unpack a lot of beliefs and reconnect with my sense of purpose when it came to my sacred offerings, and I feel this period of rest was so important for me because it has indeed allowed me to reconnect with the true essence of my magick and be inspired again by what possibilities lie ahead. 

The trials and tribulations of 2025 were what I can only describe as a full-blown initiation and a grueling test of strength & resilience, however, I feel it was also the Cauldron of rebirth. Through the medicine of Serpent, the deities, seasons & cycles I was able to let what needed die, seed myself and be reborn again. For me the constant de ja vu, endless synchronicities and oracular dreaming spoke of how truly divine 2025 was and taught me that true creation happens only in the darkness and forms from chaos. Timelines merged and realigned in this year, and it was only when reaching the end of this potent year that I finally could feel gratitude for all of it, and I am truly thankful that I can enjoy this energy into February as Serpents tail gives way to Horses Hoof. 

What are the lessons here? Deeply personal and profound, holy and solely your own. If 2025 taught me anything it's that to be true to yourself and your visions is the most sacred thing you can ever do. You do not need to explain, but you can speak your truth when you feel you wish to share and share only with those who you know will truly hold you and see you, your gifts and magick are not for everyone and that is okay. Take this newfound strength and sovereignty forward, enforce your boundaries proudly and don't be led astray. Through experience 2025 showed us and stored in our somatic memories what is no longer in alignment, what motives no longer serve or resonate, what is ours and what is not. Now as we enter year of the Fire Horse in February, we stand Gallant Stallion and Majestic Mare, our inner masculine & feminine aligned and alight with inspired purpose and action. 

My only advice from here, is to continue to slither for a little longer, allow yourself to morph slowly between these animal guides, allow small embers of hope and light to gently ignite the wood of your scales and build that slow fire. When your legs feel ready to emerge, tap into their strength and start in a gentle canter. We are Gylanic beings who heed the calls of our mother in nature and honour our own inner cycles, we are not racing full belt mouth bloodied at the bang of Gregs gun... NO, we are going to take majestic strides, join our herd of beloveds, walk gracefully with flames in our manes and Sovereignty at the reins. This is the medicine of 2026.

I hope you enjoyed this musing, as we find ourselves immersed in the of a Cancerian Full moon, allow yourself to gently tend to house and home today, to dream in the depths, connect with the healing energies of water and be invigorated with the light of La Lunar. I will be honouring this first Full moon through quiet ceremony, allowing the earth energy of Solar Capricorn to form the Chalice in which to hold the sacred waters of the Cancerian moon, scrying, journalling and divining the way ahead.
